Hwang In-Yeop MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Hwang In-Yeop? Hwang In-Yeop is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - so/sp - 964 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, EII in Socionics.

Honestly this man has barely no Te, so INTJ is out of the table for me. I thought that he was an INFJ but after some research i’m changing my vote to INFP. “I write down my thoughts and my inner desires and try to think of them simply. I spend enough time on my own. Rather than meeting up with people.” – this can be relate to Fi, since INFPs are usually more in tune of their own personal feelings, they like to explore their emotions alone, more so, than an INFJ. INFJs, since they have Fe as their aux function, they tend to find a way to externalize those feelings. “I like to cook. I think I’m pretty good at getting the taste right. I want to set the table nicely with a tablecloth, instead of just having plates. This might not last long though. (laughs)” - INFPs usually have problems in making definitive statements, i think him replying that it might not last long enough makes me feel like he doesn’t usually follow a consistent routine with his day-to-day stuff. He wishes to do stuff but then kinda falls down a little bit, i think this can be link to Ne. («Hwang In Yeop then explains that he has been wanting to meditate every morning but has been failing because he has a hard time waking up.») “I should have listened to myself above anyone else, but I was too busy listening to what others had to say. I probably did so because I didn’t believe in myself as an actor. I think that showed up in the form of timidity.” – honestly this one is very common to both types but, once again, having problems with uncertainties and the -what ifs- are usually more link to INFPs than INFJs but that’s kinda of a stereotype. “When I was younger, I was very introverted and wasn’t good at expressing my emotions properly, which would sometimes lead to misunderstandings. But as I started working as an actor, I gradually began to realize that it’s not difficult to reveal myself to others. So now I make an effort to honestly express myself.” – Once again, INFJs, since they have Ni as their dom function and Fe as their aux function, they usually have less problems with communication and exploring their emotions with other people. INFPs tend to experience more misunderstandings because of their need to think about their feelings alone. “I don’t want to think of having to beat someone to reach a position where I am. I want to flow as naturally and harmoniously as possible.” “I would be unhappy if I made up my mind to beat others with a competitive mindset. It doesn’t suit my personality. So even if there’s a person who is very competitive next to you, I’ll pretend to lose even for a simple game.” – honestly this one just SCREAMS INFP for me, he isn’t saying that he will pretend to lose to mantain harmony in the group but rather because it doesn’t suit HIS personality. Another example “I think i’m a little diferente from Seojun, i’m more cautious than outspoken. I can’t see others feeling uncomfortable because of me, so i don’t really like to compete or fight. I’m just someone who wants to be harmonious.”, also TYPE 9 YALL, this man is a personification of a type 9. An interviewer also mentioned that he said he was “aiming for ideals rather than reality but it was too realistic to challenge his dreams” Honestly I have SO many arguments for INFP but i just need to stop because no one will read it if i'm making it long. Here’s some little examples to finish: “Question: First thing you do when you wake up? Answer: Interpret my dream” “Question: Why did you want to become an actor? Answer: To be myself.” “I’d like to become ‘an actor that people continuously look forward to.’ I don’t think there’s any phrase that could make me happier than that.” “I do not want to have unnecessary thoughts other than me when achieving something. I want to spend the focus completely all on myself.” “Every person has a pace of their own. Every person has a diferente timing of happiness.” “If i want to do something, the reason can only because i want to do it.” “I think by giving youself enough time to feel the pain is the right thing to do. Since parting ways are the process of loving too.” (lol not to mention that he also loves poetry.) Even though 16personalities is not reliable since they don't work with functions i think him having ENFP on the test could be an indication of him being more on the ideals side more than the practical/logical side that INTJ/INFJs are. Also the fact that he's so non-competitive in a very fast-paced country like South Korea makes me sure he's not an INTJ. We can also see the difference between him and cha eunwoo (an INFJ) whenever they're together. Honestly I'm open to chance my opinion with arguments, i think there's room for good INFJ arguments i just hope to hear it.
