Lady Sanjo is the leader of the safe haven of Umugi Cove, where bandits, ronin and anybody else that complies to her rules is free to live in. Lady Sanjo is a caring, yet ruthless leader, that strongly cares about the good of her people. She has strict rules applied to the residents of Umugi Cove such as hurting somebody or killing somebody being strictly prohibited on her territory. She is also shown to be merciless with people questioning her, mentioned in the quest The Generosity of Lady Sanjo, where she mentions that the last person to question her had his head impaled on a stick, which can be found outside the main building.
