What personality type is Asha Alahan? Asha Alahan is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - - 964 in Enneagram, RCOEN in Big 5, in Socionics.
I think she would be ISFP rather than ISTJ. Firstly, I don't think as an ISTJ, she would generally be as dismissive of authority, or as willing to take illegal drugs to aid her emotional state and/or to date such a dodgy guy despite many people advising against it. She shows little Si, and is against following the family tradition in Dev's shop (and in fact seems to reject the value of family altogether, focussing on how she personally values Nina's qualities to the point of adoration), which conflicts with his aux Si and fuels the disconnection between Asha and Dev. Her Fi seems very clear though - she likes to assert that she is "my own person", and "can do what I like", as well as being intent on keeping her emotions and personal life private (she feels uncomfortable sharing her emotions with many people, keeping her feelings internal rather than "extraverting" them). This clashes with Dev's dom Fe - he cares about her and is desperate to know what is going on so that he can help her, while she continues to shut him out and becomes irritated when he "just can't keep your [his] nose out". For example, when Dev grills her about Kelly collapsing, and says that she can tell him anything because he is her dad, she says "as you said, you're still my dad. There's still some things I don't want to talk to you about". She shows the Fi tendency of only opening up to one particular person/group/pet etc., rather than a general sense of positivity which would indicate Fe, and this tends to be her girlfriend/boyfriend. Her Se shows with her impulsiveness, for example in purchasing ecstasy, running away, wanting to go and live with Corey in the spur of the moment and moving very fast when dating Nina. It can also be seen with her pleasure-seeking tendencies and willingness to focus on the real world rather than fantasy. Tysm if you read this far hehe!
