What personality type is Frill? Frill is an ESFP personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - sx/sp - 278 in Enneagram, SLOEN in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
hello, yes, i've returned! i've come back here to do my best to reinforce the frill 2w3 argument, and to propose for change in frill's temperament. first, let's start with 2w3. as i've mentioned before, i have not seen a single thorough argument that suggests frill could be a 4w3. the only thing i've seen is how "unhealthy 4w3's can be envious." in my opinion this makes it appear as if other types can't be jealous, which isn't true. yes, it is a common tendency for unhealthy 4w3's to be overly jealous, but we have to take into account the fact that frill isn't normal. because she isn't human, she already lacks a key emotion that regular people would have: empathy. so she feels little to no remorse for anything she does, leading that she could very easily go to extremes to get what she wants even if she isn't an unhealthy 4w3. now, what does she want, you say? to be loved, attended for. she wants affection from acca and ura-acca, and despises himari for taking that away from her. also, she's asked ura-acca before about wanting friends. based on the basic fears and desires, what type has its main desire to be loved and wanted? type 2! even on its own of a matter of 2 vs 4, it's clear to me that frill is a 2(w3). when has frill cared about wanting her own identity, or to have any personal significance? if anything, she WANTS to be human even when she isn't, to fit in and be normal, claiming herself to be one in this quote: "I am human. I'm scared of the dark, and I get toothaches. My name is Frill." in addition, even if 4s can easily get envious, it's stated unhealthy 2s have a tendency to manipulate others or go to lengths to meet their emotional desires. is that not EXACTLY what frill did? she killed azusa for crying out loud, just because she wasn't getting the attention she wanted. for the manipulating part, that was her whole deal with starting the wonder egg game: manipulating young girls into committing suicide. she had also manipulated himari to committing suicide. to me, it's blatantly apparent that she's a 2w3. once again, if anyone would like to explain 4w3 fully, please do so! i can't understand it nor has there been an explanation for it. a reminder that if we're to properly change frill's enneagram, her tritype needs changing too, so let's fix that to 278! now that that's taken care of, let's move to frill's temperament. we can all agree that frill is a sanguine for sure, that's set in stone. i'm also relieved that at the least we can get sanguine dominant out of the way, since she definitely has more than that. the change i suggest is sanguine-melancholic. why? well, let me ask you a question in return. why sanguine-phlegmatic? let's start with the main traits of a phlegmatic that i would be questioning. normally a phlegmatic individual would be relaxed, peaceful, controlled, and/or thoughtful. first of all, frill is in NO way thoughtful or controlled. she's an Se dom (i'm allowed to say this i'm an Se dom too lmao) and she completely lacks empathy. i know she has sanguine first, but i also don't think she's very relaxed or peaceful either. now to go over common melancholic traits: moody, detail-oriented/analytical, self-reliant, and rigid. need i explain moody? she went and killed her stepsister and stepmother because she wasn't getting enough affection from her parents. i also imagine she had carefully planned what she was going to do. frill obviously relies on herself often, learning about science and technology on her own in the cellar to make dot & hyphen, and even if she wants to see herself as human, she knows her abilities as a nonhuman. she's very rigid in her beliefs and attachments, not seeing the issue with KILLING others for attention because she believes that if she doesn't see it as wrong, because of her lack of empathy, then it isn't wrong. with her attachments, it should be very obvious she's dependent on acca and ura-acca's love and how determined she is to keep that. with all this, i say, frill is a 2w3 278, and a sanguine-melancholic!
Biography
Frill was designed by Acca and Ura-Acca to feature traits a father would want to see in their daughter. Frill is cheerful and clever by design, showing intelligence significantly higher than that of the average fourteen year old. She also has a sense of humour, and is often seen laughing as a result of practical jokes or general silliness. Acca and Ura-Acca intentionally designed her to have flaws as well, giving her the capacity to express certain negative emotions, such as selfishness. Frill is shown to be playful around Acca and Ura-Acca, viewing the three of them as a family. Frill's behavior is dictated, and in some ways limited, by these preprogrammed traits.
