What personality type is Weirdcore? Weirdcore is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 459 in Enneagram, RLUEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
I'm not sure if this profile also encompasses the music part of weirdcore, but i will try to explain how weirdcore sort of feels like: If you discovered weirdcore, you likely did not simply search for it on the internet, but instead went through many other visual and musical styles that have vibes similar to weirdcore. Weirdcore is an art style that doesn't have a defined position in time, it's like scattered bar-code lines passing through a horizontal timeline. Although it's an art style that originated not too long ago, it has both of a slightly nostalgic and pseudo-futuristic feel to it. Its bizzare computer-generated pictures can make you question why were they made in the first place, similar to how you can question yourself why exactly you ended up in the current point in time and place. When you think about it, this art style almost tries to expand your perception of the present, taking you back to early childhood when the world made as much sense to you as these bizzare pictures do. And when you combine those strange images with slightly less popular music which has a soft echo or synth-tune to it, you can imagine yourself going through hypothetical but familiar experiences of an entirely different individual... or maybe that individual could have been you, if you instead made slightly more authentic decisions in life. Weirdcore undoubtedly has the potential to make you question, and can help you turn towards looking for improvement, rather than constantly indulging in escapism. It tries to tell you that we are all individuals looking for a purpose, who don't necessarily have to relate in order to understand others, and i think this points close to the definition of enneagram 4, as well as disintegration to 2 and integration to 1. The wing 5 is also strong in this one: unsatisfied 5s tend to fall towards behavior of 7, ignoring uncomfortable experiences completely. Weirdcore seems very Ti-Ne-Si-Fe, so i would go with INTP 4w5.
Biography
Weirdcore is a surrealist aesthetic centered around amateur or low-quality photography and/or visual images that have been constructed or edited to convey feelings of confusion, disorientation, dread, alienation, and nostalgia or anemoia. Visually, it is strongly influenced by the general look and feel of images shared on an older internet, roughly a period spanning from around the late 90's to mid 2000's. Amateur editing, primitive digital graphics, lo-fi photography and image compression are some of the most common elements found in Weirdcore images.
