Marian Lancaster MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Marian Lancaster? Marian Lancaster is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.

Marian Lancaster from this anime series is not a thinking person as much as she is a feeling person. In fact, Marian's thoughts often surround how she feels about where she is at. Marian relies on her feelings more than she relies on her head. This becomes very noticeable when she assumes Gilbert to be a bad, corrupt knight even though he had saved her many times. She also often thought back to Robin and how she "felt" with him in the forest while she was trapped in the castle. Marian is an introvert because she is often seen walking the forest alone to recharge. Even though she loves her friends like Robin, she is often more quiet and reserved. She is judging because she often finds herself judging the decision making of everyone around her, and she often goes into a new environment with something judgmental to say or think, good or bad. Marian is "chaotic good" because while she tries to do the right thing, what often put her into many arguments with Robin was that she would constantly feel the need to fight back even if it wasn't the proper time. This chaotic behavior continues when she keeps thinking she'll have to k!ll herself with her knife so that she doesn't have to die by an antagonist. She claims she'd rather die by her own blade than that of an enemy. Continued down this chaotic path, she develops insane powers that make her absolutely frightening and unhinged. Why Marian is not an INTJ: INTJ rely closely on introverted intuition and extroverted thinking. While Marian cares about others, it isn't founded by the core desire of always wanting to know the truth. Instead, she just wants to punish those who did injustice. The majority of Marian's thinking is more so based on herself and what she can do for her family. Her thoughts are very limited to one target, or goal, rather than being open to new, effective ideas. It is her empathy that ties her to other people rather than her thinking. That adds to her being more feeling. Empathy is a trait that INFJ possess in more numbers than an INTJ would. An INTJ has a plan for everything. Marian doesn't have a plan, she has a goal and she has a desire. She's going to try to reach those goals, but there is no specific or clear plan in place. INFJs don't have to have a plan for everything; INFJs just know they must try to, by any means, fight injustice. Marian is always open about what she is thinking and feeling. She never hides it. However, Marian is hardly aware of how some of her actions have caused drama between others. Her neuroticism is at full-fuel because she is almost always ready to snap at someone. For the most part, Marian is agreeable, except for when she decided to use Robin's bow to k!ll the Baron. Her corrupted heart came out then and sometimes still came out. Marian seems to be mid-split between extroversion and introversion, making her appear to be an ambivert in some shape or form. However, she is seen happier in more lonely areas. INFJs are empathetic and prefer a one-on-one connection/conversation. This makes sense for Marian because she appreciates the small conversations she's had with her friends. Whenever one of them is in trouble, she's there to feel for their pain. She feels compassion and empathy, a big trait of INFJ. She is often misunderstood by Robin and the others, but out of the main friend group, Will understands her struggles the most. More over on this point, MBTI clearly states and I quote: "These personalities are troubled by injustice, and they typically care more about altruism than personal gain." It is even a known fac that INFJs feel misunderstood by others because they care about so much. Later on in the series, Marian takes her time to realize she shares feelings for Gilbert. Gilbert was loyally by her side and he never gave up on her, despite her often giving up on him. Once she had realized her feelings were official, it showcased that Marian had to break out of her emotions of disappointment and confusion and find the calm at the end of the storm in order to recognize that she really loved him back. This is also something driven by her empathy. More over, INTJs aren't easily empathetic, but they can be very compassionate depending on what is going on and who was treated unfairly. Thus, everything contained in the description of INFJ matches Marian better.
