Enfp: (Ne-Fi-Te-Si) Ian is motivated by Fi, a sense of "justice" as he puts it, towards people he sees as bad. I doubt it is his dominant function, it appears he has an extraverted function because of how much he speaks and his overall confidence in social situations. He's eager to talk and voice his emotions, jumps from one thing to another, slightly connected to the past the same way an Ne-Si user does. Second place Fi makes more sense in that regard which leads me to think he is an Enfp. He seems a lot more introspective and more focused on the deeper meaning than his extraverted senses and surface level stuff (SE), so I doubt he's an ESFP. In UFC 292 Garry angrily brings up the the thing Magny said about hitting his son as discipline and wants to put a stop to that mistreatment. He blows up emotionally, switches between being extremely emotional and expressive (with "childlike" joy as Chael Sonnen put it), to being flat and logical (Te, his third function). His Fi is higher than his TE because his emotions seem to control him and come first when he speaks, but maybe not so much in the ring. You can lean towards Ne being first based on how much he looks around while speaking (darting eyes/head back and forth fast), and moving his hands wildly. The extreme expressiveness is something I've noticed a lot with Ne doms, like they flip into a charismatic character. He connects the past to the present when he talks. He empathizes with the Europeans who are up late to cheer for him through connecting his own past experience (Ne-Si) with staying up late to cheer for fighters himself. He explains how important his past moments were for him, exposing how sentimental he is ( https://youtu.be/rs-_-oe3eFM ). A lot of his focus is finding himself and his meaning despite his mom not believing in him. In his UFC introduction he talks about how his different past moments connect to who he his today, how humbling it was etc. Hes very emotionally intelligent and empathetic but also cold towards the people who are bad, being able to turn it on in the fighting ring and stay focused and sharp. I think he switches his third place Te function on. A lot of my examples are coming from the recent UFC 292 after fight interview if someone wants to study him as well and possibly argue/agree ( https://youtu.be/MucKt5r6HZk ). Ive just learned about him so I'm not entirely sure, but I know I respect him and what he's about, especially after that recent fight.
