I'm not sure if it's forbidden to portray angels in Islam, so I will refrain from sharing any links right away out of respect. But if it is ok, or for those of you who aren't Muslims like me, I've always loved Nina Paley Portrayed Azrael in her animations in her movie "Seder-masochism" (based on the book of Exodus and Jewish passover traditions). I'm not a practicing Christian, but I am confirmed and have read a fair share of the Bible, and honestly it really feel like there's something Christianity missed out on to not have Azrael as a character in the Bible. "Death of the Firstborn Egyptians" by Nina Paley will always be one of my favorite artistic depictions of any Abrahamic theological events.
