Biografie

Rostam Shahzadi (born April 23, 1291 - died March 14, 1999) was born in Yazd. He is one of the translators of Gahan and Mazdisna texts from avestian to persian. he was the great priest of priests (موبدِ موبدان). In 1944, he completed a seven-year course at the Higher School for Zoroastrian Priests in India (Kamaaturnan School) and achieved the degree of Priest and the Medal of Good Behavior. In April 1316, he returned from India and in charge of Markar boarding school in Yazd, under the management of Mirza Soroush Lohrasb. Rostam Shahzadi passed away at the age of 87 after 65 years of research and religious leadership of Zoroastrians of Iran on March 14, 1999.
