Here as someone who has read Dark Rise 3 times and attend every single one of Pacat's interviews. He's INTJ. Ni dom because he thinks ahead, he's always plotting ahead. Even when he seemed "passive", it was a part of his plans. And we can't even remove present! Will from past! Will (no spoiler) too. They both are playing the long game. They even seem to try outsmarting each other. They both know exactly how to use people and situations to fit into his plans, like pieces on his chessboard. Unlike other typical fantasy heroes, Will is very decisive, once the mask fell off. Plus, Pacat himself has stated in one of the interviews. "He's a planner, he's a thinker". Te aux, we'd seen Will working himself to the brink of starvation, even on the earliest chapters. Just for the sake of following his long-term plans. He's resilient. He also possesses a sense of authority. He naturally takes the lead (again, once the mask fell off) with Violet, Cyprian and even James. He's very decisive and isn't easy to be swayed by others when it comes to decision-making. He has no problem saying "no" to his comrades. Fi tert. Will has his own personal set of moral compass. He'd often do things without the approval/knowledge of the others. Even things that might be unethical, at that time (like what he did with Katherine). Yet, he'd usually keep his feelings out of arguments and situations, keeping a look of calm and composure. He refused to dwell on sentiments for too long when looking at a situation, even the things truly dear to him, as if he's forcing himself to ignore them. Unless extremely necessary (as in, fitting into his plans), Will does not let others know how he's really feeling. Se inf. Will hates resorting to violence. He doesn't want to be the stereotypical bad guy. Yet he relishes on it if it serves his vision, if it fulfills his tong-term goal. Like some sort of destructive adrenaline rush. It satisfied him, but also leaving him feeling dirty afterwards. He also often ignores his bodily/sensory needs, while working hard to the brink of starvation. He rejects the power and pleasure that his past self offered him, including James. But of course, that remains a mystery for now. Maybe he'd embrace it once he finds out that there might be more to what was done in the past than just mere destruction, and if it perhaps could serve his vision and plans better in the future.
