I'll give an example of when Onew uses Ni and Fe and then explain it. From behind the scenes of their Studio Choom DCM performance: Onew: I think I stammer when I say something. I need some time to think before I speak. And now I don't think I have enough time. Key: He can just do it . . . Onew: Though I make the perfect sentence in my mind, it's still not perfect. If I say it it's not perfect at all. Key: Don't try to do something, just be natural. That's pretty enough. Trying to be funny or making points, you don't need to do that. Onew: Ohhh~ To me this conversation reveals Ni-Fe. The Ni can be seen as he is thinking through everything before he says it. It doesn't seem to be him correcting his grammar in his head, but instead running through different scenarios which is why it takes more time. Ni is the most subconscious of all 8 functions, and that means that for Ni doms it can be extremely difficult to translate our thoughts into coherent words. As an INFJ I go through this a lot when I think of what to say, I run it through different reaction scenarios, and then usually by the time I'm done with this process the conversation has moved on. But if it miraculously hasn't moved on then when I say what I've been perfecting, I stammer through it as the sentence and my thought process almost drifts away into my subconscious. It's very hard for me to use my Ni while also being present and speaking at the same time. I see this process happening a lot with Onew. As for Fe, Key tried to give advice which wasn't that good or profound but Onew acted like he learned something. This seems like Ni-Fe to me because he is thinking in advance and saving face for Key instead of saying "that wasn't helpful".

Lee Jin-ki, better known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer and actor. Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Onew was discovered at the 2006 SM Academy Casting and signed the contract with SM Entertainment the day after his audition.
