I think she is an ISTJ, and her and Calypso's typing method is flawed. Their understanding about the functions is also incorrect. There was a video where they tried to convince a guy that he was an ISTP rather than an INTP. They asked him what would come to his mind first when he thinks about a pen, and he said "male's body part", which they associated with Se. And then Calypso said she thought about academia, which she claims is Si because Si means "giving symbolic meaning to physical objects". But that's not what Si does. Si compares current sensory information with stored sensory information; it's Ne that's associating physical objects with abstract concepts. Because Calypso favors Ne over Si, she came up with an Ne answer to the question. Then Alex proceeds to say that a pen reminds her of writing something, and that it's because she uses Se like that guy does. Well, when exposed to a physical object, both Si and Se users may think about physical objects or actions pertaining to that object. A true Ni dom person would actually fastforward over the Se process and directly come up with an Ni abstract meaning for the object. Alex's answer shows that she is more likely to be an Si dom than an Ni dom.
