I finished reading Shari’s book, and seeing these ESxJ votes is such an insult 😭 (For background, Ive studied cognitive functions for 7-8 years now, along with other personality systems). I went in with the subconscious desire to get some input on her mindset, her experiences, and the way she describes things. Since the beginning of the book - you can clearly see high Fe, when trying to preserve the social harmony and wanting to understand Ruby’s values - asking her why things had to be so “bright” and colorful, and having the emotional maturity at 8 years old , not wanting to disagree with Ruby on her chosen style of the house as go not offend her. She constantly is in this FeTi drive of trying to understand her mom, analyzing, and trying to understand where she is coming from. Also, Fi critic is apparent in Shari’s character - consistently blaming herself and trying to figure out whats wrong with herself, which Jodi knew and used it to manipulate Shari - which shows just how evil Jodi was (as well as Ruby) finding. a way to deceive her Ni. Shari, throughout the book, talks about her gut feelings towards circumstances that were going to happen and not feeling good about it, such as with ConneXtions and Jodi Hildebrandt herself. Shari is extremely observant, emotionally intelligent and very mature, analytical and looking for the reasons behind her observations. Also, she probably came off as an ESTJ in elementary school ?as someone in the comments said she remembers her from school) xNFJs are known to chameleon others naturally, especially as kids. Ruby is a malignant narcissist, which obviously meant she projected her own behaviors onto Shari. Anyways, you cant even type someone when they are a child. The very things Jodi and Ruby were telling Shari, that she isnt compassionate, that shes selfish, were to simply try and push her into further submission because they are conforming her Fi critic (absolutely disgusting behavior). Shari had goals and made them come true, and learned how to sometimes emotionally manipulate her mom at times out of survival. ——— Ive been in between typing her as an E5 of an E6. She definitely seems to be in the Head triad, and suffered from anxiety and fear her whole life. The whole dynamic with Derek confused me in a sense, whether she stuck with him simply because she wanted to depend on someone, then again, she started ignoring him because he was trying to control her and restricting her of any independence. She does lean more towards 5s, because she went on to use her Fe to study a lot about family vlogging and the politics/religion that impacts it, and how it harms children. She is very analytical and values her independence, she always relied on herself to fix her own problems, and had a very difficult time opening up. I would say INFJ 5w6 592.
