Instead of trying to maintain her sensory associations and network of experiences to avoid extremities, Mathilda chases after objects of sensory fixation, extremities and completely new and different experiences (cigarettes and wanting to clean, for example). She also has the ability of finding connections between current sensory experiences and other related experiences. However, she stops once a more conceptual and farsighted vision is realized.
