Fi users have their values, but they are highly mutable values at very high speed. Because they are always projecting themselves individually onto the other, this generates a lot of self-consciousness and even a degree of cynicism. John has his "values", but they are totally blind and inflexible because of Fi-inf. He seeks to conform much more to the external logic (Te) that the world taught him as a priority + Si-aux's protocol naivety that reinforces his belief in corny things.
