Sorry...what?? Slightly better social skills than Bernard Black does not an ESFJ or type 2 make. Much of the humour in this series revolves around her inferior fe. I did change my mind on her a few times, but have settled on ISTP. Her ti is more than a match for Bernard-both are quick-witted, dry-humoured, cynical and analytical, though as a se user, Fran is less 'booksmart' much more likely to apply this analysis to practical matters. More attuned to her environment than both Many and Bernard, she has a number of sensory interests (and vices) like fashion, home design, travel, food, alcohol, and overspending. Whereas Bernard's fe is hopelessly undeveloped, Fran is prone to fe-grips, where she desperately tries to fit in and impress others, coming across as painfully awkward in the process.
