Yes, ENFJs can be Enneagram 5s. This is very rare, but this fits Chesed perfectly. His entire managerial style is pure FeNi. During his early days at Lobotomy Corporation he used to be incredibly ambitious, wanting to improve how Lobotomy Corporation operates and to lower employee deaths. After his ambitions were repeatedly shut down by Angela and as he learned more about Angela's uncaring attitude towards the lives of the employees he became jaded and cynical. His style of management is very forgiving, as he is shown excusing the blunder of an employee and even taking over the task for them. Despite all this he is very cynical, simply wanting to make his employees comfortable before their (as he views it) unavoidable death. This is all Fe-Ni driven by observation and internalized logic (Se-Ti), which was enhanced by his enneagram wing. The core fear of an Enneagram 5 is being helpless and incompetent. The basic desire is to feel helpful and able. This is more than possible for an ENFJ to become, though such an individual is more likely to be unhealthy or detached due to the overemphasis on their Ni and Ti as their driving functions. This desire and need to look and appear superior came as a result of his upbringing. Chesed was born in a Nest to an elite family. He was expected to join A Corp and climb to a high position. His older sisters and other siblings easily got into Wings. He was a talented person who had the skills to join any Wing, and with failure as not an option, he pushed himself to extremely aggressive heights to be his best self, developing several shades of insecurity with it. The Social 5 perfectly describes this. "Combining the social instinct with the passion of avarice manifests as holding on to whatever the individual considers gives him his social standing. Often this person will have a hero to live up to, someone looked at as a intellectual. The SO5 has a greed for social recognition, though, due to the nature of the 5, they are highly avoidant of people they consider unworthy. They are very conscious of social hierarchies, and because of this this subtype is insanely picky with who they associate with, they consider ordinary life and people as boring, as they search for a higher meaning and higher understanding. Wanting to be a totem of knowledge for others, this subtype is heavily intellectual and oriented towards collecting knowledge. This subtype also intellectualizes and isolates their own feelings the most, constantly separating them from their thoughts and suppressing them, seeing them as not important. They're also the most arrogant and cold 5, though they are also the least transparent 5, as they want to maintain their image of knowledge, always hiding a part of themselves. Ichazo titled SO5 "Totems", someone who has heroes to live up to, however this idealization both divinizes their heroes and dehumanizes everyone else. Naranjo described this character as someone who wants to feel that they matter, but they themselves feel unimportant or uninteresting, a place of "inner poverty", which causes them to seek magic of meaning, the richness of experience, the special, elevated, great or extraordinary." ENFJs are more stereotyped as social movers (E2, E3) or cuddle bugs (E7, E9), but people drastically underestimate the intellectual drive for an ENFJ to develop if sufficiently motivated. They often don't appease people who they don't like because they feel a need, they can bite and push back hard if need be. Chesed was simply given the motivation to pursue more intellectual aspirations growing up, and while this is rare, this was accelerated by his Sociotype being IEI. This overall makes a person who I think is firmly an ENFJ 5w4, as he has all the characteristics. While I don't think every enneatype is possible with every MBTI, I think certain MBTI and sociotype combos lead to aberrations like Chesed that make him so hard to type in general.
