James is definitely not a Ne user - he seems like a mature, found his way, kind of ESTP with all the focus on aesthetics in the games he plays and sometimes forgetting some crucial stuff just because it wasn't in his point of view. I see many Se-Ti users do this, kind of like having a tunnel vision when they're immersed in their work. also his jokes are very ESTP, practical and calm, not too wild with the possibilities. Compare him to someone like Michael Reeves or character Chandler Bing - there's a clear difference in demeanor and the style of jokes they make. ESTP is so much more than the stereotype and James shows a lot of that hidden side of them.
