He's a tricky one, because his childhood and teenage years points to an ISFJ development, there's barely any Ni there, but adult Randall's most defining traits points to INFJ. It's actually mentioned a lot by his family that he he has a tendency to trade stability for a sense of higher purpose, and he seems to be constantly putting his wife in the position of having to ground him into reality. But at the same time he's got that methodical approach of a Si-dom, and when anxiety gets in the way it's always hard to differentiate the illness from the inferior Ne mechanism. It seems like the writers want the best of both worlds, changing back and forth between ISFJ and INFJ when it's convenient for the plot, but because his character arc aligns better with INFJ, I'm sticking with it.
