Biografie
(NWR No.D2): A Metropolitan Vickers Diesel/Electric Type 2 CoBo. These engines were built for BR from 1958, and many worked in the Barrow-in-Furness area. In 1965 one found its way to the Brendam branch. Sir Topham expressed interest, and BR allowed him to keep it for trials. These proved satisfactory, and Boco was purchased. There is only one other of its type anywhere in the British Isles. BoCo had a difficult introduction to the Fat Controller's Railway when Bill and Ben pulled their twins trick in him and called him a "diseasel". Fortunately BoCo's easygoing nature allowed him to make light of their teasing, and he settle down to become known as one of the kindest engines on Sodor. BoCo is based on a British Rail (BR) Class 28 Co-Bo diesel-electric engine. BoCo is a tame diesel engine, who is sensible, kind, and has a decent sense of humour. He is also very disciplined, as seen as he stops Bill and Ben from their pranks.
