Regina George is SEE, but Victoria Chase is not: - (Strong Te) and (Se/Ni-devaluing): Victoria is a person focused on how to get things done efficiently. She wants to win the everyday heroes contest, so she tries to suck up to the teacher. She wants to ace school, so she gets her lackeys to do her homework. She does display a lot of force (Se), but this is just her demonstrative function (4D strength but unvalued). Se is just a means to an end. At the Vortex Party, Max says “You don’t have to push people out of your way.” Victoria replies “You don’t understand. My parents own a gallery. I know how this art game has to be played… it’s brutal.” Victoria does not seem to enjoy using force but sees it as a necessity to try and get what she wants done: “I’m only here to become a photographer, not president.” She seems to be focused more on the present and what needs to be done, lacking any long-term regards. She doesn’t make any Ni predictions or Ne innovations herself, she just goes based on her practical observations. ‘This is how it is.’ - Fi-suggestive: Victoria seems Fi-valuing but not very strong in it. Compare her to mean girl Regina George (SEE), who knows exactly how to create a bond with people and manipulate them into her bidding. Victoria seems to not be good at this: she tries to create a bond with Jefferson or with Rachel Amber (in BTS) but comes off too inauthentic (weak Fe-role) and fails each time. It’s hard to imagine her being good at Fe or Fi. Instead, her Fi-suggestive shows in the way she secretly cares for her friends. When Max talks to Taylor, Taylor talks about how Victoria was there for her when her mother was sick. Or when Max confronts Victoria about Nate, Victoria says that “Nathan is like one of my best friends… His family treats him like a total freak, just because he has little meltdowns.” Victoria shows how much she values her relation with Nate and have his back. And from this, we can see weak Fi and Ni in not seeing the warning signs in Nate. Victoria’s evaulation of people is not nuanced. She writes off Kate as a prude and Max as a annoying quirky girl (compare to Regina talking about Janis Ian to Cady. More in-depth evaluation of Janis’s character (Fi) whilst injecting emotional tones (Fe) in an effective way). Victoria bullies Kate, but doesn’t realize her actions could drive Kate to the edge (Ni-polr). She seems to have little awareness of long-term consequences of her actions. Afterwards, she expresses remorse and sends Kate a letter in the hospital. This is a more impersonal Te way of trying to solve Fi. And then she dedicates her contest victory to Kate. Victoria also shows receptiveness to Fi from Max (IEI), when Max compliments Victoria on her inner qualities. This softens Victoria and makes her more willing to cooperate with Max. Victoria is not very in touch with her own feelings towards relationships; not realizing until later that maybe she was just jealous of Max. It seems more like Victoria is being controlled by Fi and has Fi-motivations. But she sucks at trying to use Fi herself to control others.
