Ti: Has his internal framework of the word and uses it justify his actions and inactions (E.g. comparing himself to flightless birds) Ne: constantly comes up with new ideas as solutions for problems based on his internal framework E.g creating the mechanism in the jungle to destroy the chain connecting Jewel and Blu, or barking to scare the cat and make it move. Si: relies on routine for security and comfort and is reluctant to move away from it, shown by his reluctance to fly. Fe: has a very poor grasp on the feelings of others. He constantly assumes that Jewel doesn’t like him, even believing that she will leave him after they become free from the chain. It seems apparent that Blu is stuck in a ti-si loop, bouncing from his framework of the world to his information of the world he gathered whilst in Minnesota, neglecting his NE and any new opportunities/ possibilities. He could be a 6w5 as he does value safety very highly, but I believe this is more due to his ti-si loop which he breaks out of as the film goes on (at carnival he risks his life on multiple occasions, chasing into the smuggler’s float, jumping out of the plane to save Jewel etc). I think he is probably a 4w5 with his reluctance to change stemming from his desire to be his authentic self, as he initially doesn’t view himself as a bird but instead as Linda’s pet/companion. As the film progresses his idea of himself changes and his idea of being authentic is being a bird with Jewel. He uses logic to justify his authenticity (“not all birds fly, there are ostriches…).
