Funnily enough, Grimm is really difficult to type, specially considering the player can choose pretty much any route when approaching each character, either being a d*** by choosing 'R***' for no reason at all (and dying in the process, specially in Black Souls I) or proceeding in normal talk/acting like a decent person. However, just by checking each option you have in game, along each interaction displaying Grimm's mind and thoughts while in narrator (like those with a certain cat where Grimm goes like "shut the f*** up, I just wanna f@*#!"), you can clearly see where Grimm's priorities are. Just by checking how casually you can choose between "Talk" and "Kill/Rape" like they meant the same thing to him, simply because Grimm plays the role *someone* gave him quite perfectly in each game, pretty much careless about consequences while still putting his own egoistic desires in first place most the time, he seems to fit with Ti-Se (unhealthy). Black Souls I gives us the most information about who Grimm was, while Black Souls II gives us the most information on what he had became. From now on, SPOILERS are gonna be mentioned. In Black Souls I, Grimm doesn't seem to fit in an intuitive type at all. Most intuitives are quite easy to spot in protagonists, specially when they have a secundary thinker or feeler function, like Ne-Ti or Ni-Fe. Since the start, Black Souls I immerses us in the experience of being in a completely bizarre world, slowly realizing Grimm himself doesn't care about what is happening there, 'going with the flow' and also following whatever other characters tell him he should/is supposed to do, as far as he *agrees with it*, since you can always choose a different path in the game. I mean, Grimm initially should defeat the princesses in the first game, but he quickly changes his mind when he encouters Alice that tells him to fill the library. Black Souls I has many endings, most heroines die in them except for Leaf (as far as you are using Leaf's Ring). Yet, Grimm could've perhaps avoided that if he wasn't so careless, his sense of living the present and going with the flow, without putting too much thought as far as *he is gaining something from it*, forced us in way too many rabbit holes, and I feel like that has to do with a Ti-Se stack. Grimm always gave us that vibe of a careless, quiet guy. He's not silent, we can clearly see he's talking in BS dialogues, even if we can't read it, but he always chose the easiest responses, those who were either logically acceptable or just simple to express (Ti). The alternatives we have in game were always direct, blunt, straight-forward and some even selfish. He's not emotional at all, we can even say he's quite blank on that field, his selfishness built on how he treated important others. On Black Souls I/II, I feel like the only thing Grimm had always been terrible at was reading what other people felt/intentions were. He isn't blind, Grimm had never acted like an unhealthy Se style, but rather an unhealthy Ti style. He always had a clear picture of where his mind should be, either if it meant achieving a sex scene or just following some weird plan, not to mention Grimm always seemed to struggle when connecting with people. Jumping from one objective to another, it seems like Grimm's worse function was Fe. Take Red Hood's ending as an example, it is mentioned that Grimm and Red Hood went back to a normal life. He becomes a decent person after that, even making Red like him more. On that ending, Grimm had displayed a normal behavior, trying to understand Red Hood better and make her a happy person by his side. He tried his best, a few lines about cooking for her here and there, but it ends with Red leaving Grimm with that letter, being clear to him that she didn't really love him romantically, even though she tried to, and I guess we can pretty much see Grimm's struggle with Fe. That's just one example, you can also spot his Ti based on what decisions you have to make to save each heroine: like Goose having to do with not forgiving her, then asking her to be your companion instead of asking for something weird, like 'think first, f*** later' (Ti-Se) even though that becomes 'f*** Alice first, think later' in the second game. Black Souls II complements a lot on a few aspects of Grimm's personality. The issue with using the 2nd game to decide has to do with the fact he was constantly manipulated/influenced by other characters. Grimm's thoughts were fuzzy, frequently blinded by a seek for pleasure and/or a non-sense desire to see Alice. Still, I stand by the idea of Grimm being an ISTP (Ti-Se-Ni-Fe). On BS II, the way he reacts with each interaction and his response to other characters making him mad, like Cheshire Cat during the scenes being something like: 'stfu' in his thoughts but not actually voicing it seems to be something an ISTP would do. Anyway, I'm reaching the words limit, so I hope this makes sense for someone else reading it.
Biografie
The player-named protagonist of the Black Souls series is a male "Chosen Undead" who battles fantastical beings based on popular fairy tales and children's novels. While the player can choose between different classes (three in Black Souls 1 and nine in Black Souls 2), he is most commonly depicted as an armored knight.
