Black-or-White or False Dilemma is a fallacy in which only two alternatives are presented when more are possible. In other words, this faulty reasoning is founded by an erroneous premise that limits the available options in a situation, and solely two alternative states are presented as the only possibilities. When one has not considered all options, and provide two possibilities when, in fact, more exist—from an 'either-or' position—they are committing a fallacy of False Dilemma.
