So unlike Hirukawa (I made an analysis on his type, go check it out, guys!), Minase’s type is something I’m more unsure about, but based on his behaviors so far, I’m leaning toward ISTJ. His character is pretty interesting and has actually surprised me from time to time. I think him sizing up and intensely staring at his classmate (after saying stuff like how he wouldn’t hang out with someone who’s friends with Hirukawa) was unintentionally disturbing, and frankly, I loved that scene soooo much because of how unexpected it was and how that behavior had layers to it. He can be tactless, he’s self-contained. I think he has aux Te since he likes doing things the right way, and that critic Ti makes himself shut down and doubt himself when it comes to what he has to do next, listening to the opinions of others and being careful about how he’s going to be seen instead (Te). The unexpected rude behavior is probably from Trickster Fe, it’s obvious he considers HIMSELF (Fi) first. An interesting observation though, is that that Fi child could be in harmony with Hirukawa’s Fe child—Hirukawa wants to care and show affection, and Minase wants to be cared of (but he’s so afraid of vulnerability and stepping out of his comfort zone), but Hirukawa could read into what Minase needs emotionally deep down and that’s why it worked out in the end. That dom Si can really be seem through his loyalty toward Hirukawa. It’s like even though Hirukawa doesn’t listen to him, he lets himself be because he’s used to having him around and likes how his inferior Ne is being exercised, like for example, Hirukawa showing him new, “strange” perspectives all the time, things he isn’t used to but might have a subconscious, hidden affinity for. That Demon Ni really popped up once he was told he might study abroad lmfao. Aside from that, ISTJs are very dutiful. He’s been nothing but helpful to Hirukawa, like helping him with his wounds, giving him shelter and company when needed—ISTJs love to service others for the fact Si is their strongest function and they want to make people comfortable because, as it’s an introverted perceiving function, it makes them comfortable too. And honestly, that just make them lowkey sweethearts. I might also mention that ISTJ, if not the most common, is one of the most common MBTI types in Japan, so it’s not really a plausible argument or theory either (even though the character is fictional—it’s not impossible for it to be based on how people behave there). Well, I don’t know what else to add since Minase is not very expressive, but I like how he can be unexpectedly intimidating and sometimes even on purpose, I think that’s the cherry on top. *Based on some of your votes: I don’t see ISFJ, that aux Fe makes them more sociable to people and providing warmth. I don’t see Ti too since he’s too caught up in what others expect him to do. Like for example, he’s secretly into art, but instead of pursuing it like a Ti user (who serves their own interests), he brushes it off. You can see it when he was jealous too. He takes point A to B quickly. Hirukawa is with a girl, therefore he’s dating her. Point blank simple, didn’t even try to verify it like a Ti user. He’s done this on other things too. I can’t see INFP either… I mean where is his strong Ne and trickster Se, and all the other things? He definitely prefers a set way of doing things, seems to have child Fi than child Si because someone with child Si and dominant Fi would definitely not let Hirukawa get away with these things he’s done, especially when Minase already dictates him not to do certain things in relation with him.
