It is a shorter post, this one gets into the foundations! I hope it will entertain you, spark a nice discussion or let any of us learn new things. ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── Let us first re-think over our discordant ideas of the Sexual Four. Here are things you should frankly not be 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 its nature to: E4 does not merely mean 'jealous'. Consequentially, SX4 does not merely mean 'indignant, hateful'. Furthermore, Heart (Vanity) Type does not merely mean 'wants to be competent'. If you are presenting these in a way that does not go beyond these terms, you are reducing them. Here are better explanations for these characterological phenomena, and to understand Sexual Four: -> Heart types are constituted through others. They only exist in relation to other people. If other people are not there, we can not talk about them. They are quite 'vain'. They crystallize usually through perceived abandonment by parents and a following desire to win back their hearts. Being seen (first by the parents, after by the rest) is not an aliquot to the entirety of their structure: It is the whole of it, and where it starts. It is not a trait - Vanity and a subsequent self-loss due to overidentification with the outer 'gaze' creates the root of the character (the adaptive strategy). -> The passions are systemized with the three different directions that the Core Triad State can be projected to (interiorized - core - exteriorized). For example, E5 is the interiorized head type. The issue is that heart types are clearly other-oriented. But what if the Triad crystallized in the interiorized direction? ☆ Here is what happens: It takes form in an emotional, needy attachment to suffering, to be let out by the other and think of the self as so. It gestates on the idea that you can obtain the bliss of love through being broken (think of an infant that cries and cries so mom will finally give attention to them). Here are adjectives that can describe the dominant beholder of this passion: Propensity for ideations of the self as deficient/lacking, Jealous, Emotional, Full of fervor, Soulful, Has a high potential for empathy (especially toward those who have also suffered), Moralistic, Deep, Intellectual, Shamelessly authentic. They are the type of people that draw you in by being very obviously complex, and they have been under the radar of psychoanalysts with the label of 'Borderline' for decades. This is especially because they have this magnetic aura of complexity around them. What happens when the Envious is also bestowed the Sexual instinct? Unequivocally, it becomes even more competing, lustful, emotional and jealous; having a neurotic need for its rivals to be despised just like how they feel they are. They stand firmly by things they believe to feel create a part of themselves. Overexcited uproars, manic laughs, ecstatic appearances and such are common. If they are close to you, they get extremely attached to you (obviously) and you are met with an incredibly emotional, effusive, raw and labile person. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 that stubbornly and superciliously detaches from the zeitgeist (this is NOT its narrative).
