Biografie
The actor-observer bias is a psychological phenomenon where individuals tend to attribute their own behavior to external factors or situational influences (as an observer) but attribute others' behavior to internal characteristics or dispositional factors (as an actor). When people assess their own actions, they often consider external factors or circumstances that might have influenced their behavior. However, when observing others' actions, they tend to focus more on the individual's personality traits or internal qualities rather than considering external influences. For example, if someone makes a mistake at work, they might attribute it to external factors like stress, lack of resources, or unclear instructions. But when observing a colleague making a mistake, they might attribute it to the colleague's incompetence or carelessness without considering external factors that might have contributed to the error.
