I'll need to assume that Mob himself is INFP. ???? isn't a different person than Mob. He is a manifestation of a part of Mob's psyche. Specifically as it pertains to the INFP, we can see the relationship between the two as a direct parallel of the Fi-Te axis. While Mob is principally concerned with discovering who he wants to be, and then pursuing it according to his own ideals, ???? is concerned with results. When ???? lays out his reasoning to Mob, it's cold, logistical, and straightforward. There is no regard for the personal relationships Mob has made, past an awareness of the transactional. He believes Reigen only saved Mob because he was useful to his business. Appeals to the emotional or relational fall on deaf ears. ????? has decided to go to Tsubomi, so that is what WILL happen. He's not sprinting. He's not caught up in the moment with Se. He's making slow but unrelenting progress towards his goal, with 0 regard for the effects his powers are having on others and the world. He flattens everything in front of him in a dispassionate, matter-of-fact way, as he trudges along, completely devoid of any kind of Feeling awareness. You know what that description sounds like? Te-Grip. 😏 Te is usually suppressed by the INFP, as it can tend to manifest as a single minded drive to achieve their goal by any means necessary. Since INFP does not like to be imposed on, they tend to dislike imposing their will on others. For the INFP, their emotions can be sources of significant power, but it is often suppressed. Emotions motivate certain actions, and the degree of emotional intensity, is the degree to which you will be pushed towards those actions. While they're certainly capable of using Te in a healthy way, the grip activates when the dominant function is unable to meet the current demands of the situation. Now all of the oppositional "energy" from the inferior function rushes in to fill the gap, meet the need, address the situation. This tends to manifest in an extreme way, which will generally be destructive and disproportionate, though not always. Fi despairs, noting that for all of its kindness, consideration and efforts, the world is still cruel, and only the ruthless survive. You know. Edgy ****. Te comes in to address the issue, usually being pointed at whatever Fi last decided was the problem, and Te makes it happen. Because that's what Te does. It makes things happen, regardless of what anyone thinks or says or what gets in the way. And in return, once Te has "fixed" the issue by punching the problem in the face (sometimes literally), Fi can disavow it as cruel and vicious. It is a betrayal of Fi ideals that cannot continue. It pushes Te into the closet, vowing "never again." And that's Mob's entire dynamic with his powers. He got mad when he was younger because he couldn't reason with the bullies, so Te ???? hurt them so they'd leave him and his brother alone. Mob felt horrible, and stuffed ???? and his emotions away. ???? is ESTJ because of his position relative to Mob. He's very similar to Suzuki, an ENTJ, who has no issue using his own Te to stop ????, only relenting because of the activation of his own inferior function (Fi) to remind him that he was abandoning his family again. Mob's successful integration of ???? necessitated that he understand his powers aren't bad (Fi accepting Te) as well as ???? accepting that his powers aren't the solution to every problem he has (Te accepting Fi). In usual INFP fashion, even while completely taken over by ???? (Te) Mob is able to return to himself through the truth and vulnerability of his true friend. It is what is honest and meaningful, a show of vulnerability without any kind of rational payoff, that allows Mob to understand that Reigen valued their relationship over their transaction. In the battle of ideals between Mob and ????, Reigen's truth was the object lesson necessary to render ???? worldview incorrect. INFPs often want to change the world to be a better place, but can become so concerned with doing the "Right Thing TM", that they don't get things done. Being able to get tough and force things doesn't make someone bad, and it doesn't have to be violent or explosive. Mob does not need to hide from himself, nor hide parts of himself from others. He can possess great power without losing himself to it.

??? is the subconscious manifestation of Mob's infinite Esper power that was consciously repressed in order to appear normal. ??? was formed as a result of Mob bottling up his emotions and refraining from using his psychic powers due to "that" incident in Mob and Ritsu's youth.
