Well, first of all, aside from the typing concept, Naoto was interested in what is called as "supernatural stuff" which means that he would definitely belive in what Takemichi has told him, and not mentioning that HE WAS A CHILD. And knowing how to time travel by shaking hand is not an Ni dom thing only. We see how Naoto investigate about his sister's death, and how he really cares about every single infromation he can know about them. Telling Takemichi to "stop Kisaki" because when he joined Toman everything bad has happened,. That was what he has known while investigation in addition to what Tekemichi could tell him, and that is more of an Si thing (focusing on data, etc), than an Ni thing. DO NOT TYPE RELYING ON ONE CONCEPT WHICH IS SHAKING HANDS AND BELIEVING IN TIME TRAVELING.
