However what she has in notoriety with triad, she lacks with core type. She's been considered every single image type at this point and frankly, I understand people voting for all of them. Therefore I will outline the differences between the 3 types and offer an explanation for the core! ┄┄┄『 ⊶ ㅤㅤ⑅ ❈ ⑅ㅤㅤ ⊷ 』┄┄┄ ‣ 𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐃 ⌜❁"𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐲, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐮𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐨. Often the most beautiful people on the Enneagram, the image points have created themselves in the image they have been taught we will love."¹ For every point this means something else, let's first examine the E3 and why it isn't the exact manifestation of Amy's problems. ➳ "The passion that runs the Three fixation is called deceit. This does not necessarily mean that Threes are liars, although they can be quite good at that. Rather, the deceit is in producing a role for the public. On a deep level, Threes know the role is not real, but they believe it anyway. The self-deceit of the Three lies in identification with the role as “who I really am.”¹ The 3 learns from a young age that they're not loved for who they are but for what they achieve and produce. Because of this, they alter their behaviour and focus on achieving things that can make them obtain a good image. They deceive others and themselves into believing this to be the truth at the expense of authenticity. The problem with praise for such a perception is that it never really compensates for the thing they want; to be recognised. The social 3 like Amy strives for greatness and wants attention, but whilst the social 3 is extremely conscious of social norms and acts in almost perfect accordance to them to obtain the status they desire, Amy doesn't deceive others into making them believe she's something she's not. This is an important distinction to make whilst typing. Her desire for notoriety isn't fueled by the same manipulation of a 3, therefore making it improbable. Amy does what's expected of her but she doesn't feel a constant need to protect her image by pretending to obtain the admiration she desires. Now moving on to E4. ➳ "This is the imploded version of the hysteric personality. While the Two has pride of place, the Four feels the shame of being out of place. Four never really feels at home, never really feels in relaxed harmony with the environment. Twos have the pride of position, while Fours feel imploded. Fours often seem to be waiting for life to begin. Fours, like Fives, are at a point at the bottom of the Enneagram where they are aware of a black hole inside. They experience this hole as a wound and a loss, as if something is missing. This black hole is their proof that they are tragically marked, and that they are special."¹ The E4 feels fundamentally wrong. As a child they've been made to feel different and unlovable as they are. Because of this the E4 thinks that there's some part of themselves they lack that causes their tragedy. Because they were marked to suffer they could never be happy. This causes Ego-Melancholy, a projection of always seeing something out of reach that they think that could fulfill them. A popular suggestion is sexual 4 for Amy, but this seems far off. Whilst she shows jealousy towards Jo (having Laurie, being able to go out etc.) Amy doesn't seem to have this anger as a projection of her feeling inferior, but merely her own sense of entitlement i'll touch on later. Amy very easily admits faults as shown at the start of this part, something a sexual 4 (Think of her sister, Jo) has a hard time doing because they are in a constant state of needing to proof they are superior to the competition. Amy also never shows any feelings of excessive inferiority or self loathing:
