José Rico, stage name of José Alves dos Santos (São José do Belmonte, June 29, 1946 – Americana, March 3, 2015), was a Brazilian singer of country music. He was part of the important country duo Milionário & José Rico. José Rico was also a great composer, and the song Estrada da Vida, which he wrote, is one of the greatest hits of the duo's victorious trajectory, which gave title to the film On the road of life, directed by Nelson Pereira dos Santos, an important Brazilian filmmaker and starring them.
