A sweetheart, really. It's obvious he's very invested in his research, but it pains him to see his wife sad with her husband becoming, practically, a machine. Goes against his gluttony to do the right thing. EN(T) + SO7 + VLEF. Quick detour: no, VLEF is not contradictory to SO7. He wouldn't become what he is if not for 1V2L. He's cheerful, but 3E isn't necessarily a gloomy in a traditional sense. It's perfectly capable of appearing joyful and playful on the outside, hiding deep insecurities beneath. Especially in relation to SO7 that is all about putting up a front to it's gluttony, trying to reflect a good image in others to cope with existential insecurity of all E7.
