I think he was a kind ISFJ who just couldn’t keep up with Ne Dom. He was kind and he tried his best to use his Fe to ignore how he felt and tried to make her feel better. If he was an INTJ he would easily state a solution to fix her problem but he was too kind and scared to break her heart to do so. As he stated himself “I should have faced her and shouted at her but I couldn’t”. I believe an INTJ can state facts and solutions quite easily and wouldn’t put it off for three years. Eventually, an Ni dom who could keep up with Ne dom came around and stole her.
