I actually used to think she might be LSI > LSE, but honestly I'm not really convinced anymore. Delta fits her way better than Beta imo. Beta characters are usually pretty aware of social hierarchies and where people stand within a system, but Ena barely seems to think that way. Even though she was basically at the very bottom of her class's social ladder, she never seemed interested in climbing it or proving herself nor she became obsessed with beating Sae or exposing her. What hurts Ena isn't a lack of power or recognition, it's the lack of genuine human connection. She wanted someone who actually cared about her, just look at how her classmates treated her... 🙁 Another thing that makes me believe that she's Delta is how she handles conflict. Beta types often get involved in conflicts through authority, ideology or power dynamics. After years of being bullied, she never seems interested in getting revenge. She refuses help and just keeps doing what she believes is right, regardless of what other people think of her. Even her fear feels more Delta than Beta. Her fear isn't that she was denied power or rank, it's that people constantly crushed her ability to form meaningful relationships. I also think her dynamic with Chiyo is a pretty good example of Delta-Gamma interaction. Ena isn't annoyed because Chiyo's logic is inconsistent or anything like that. She mainly dislikes how reckless, impulsive and individualistic Chiyo can be. Chiyo being SEE makes sense since Gamma types are usually very pragmatic, independent and results-oriented (and they tend to focus on personal goals, taking action or judging people based on what they actually do rather than where they stand socially). You can easily imagine Chiyo seeing Ena as a boring rule-follower or someone who makes matchmaking way more complicated than it needs to be lol. The funny thing is they're actually more alike than they'd probably want to admit. Because both girls are pretty direct, trust their own judgment, and can be stubborn when they think they're right. Neither of them is really the type to just go along with what everyone else thinks.
