I have commented before why I think he is an ENFJ and not ESFP, and at this time I've watched only until he escaped prison and left Elliot with Sheila's dead body. Now he came back in season 4 and my vote has not changed, in fact they only made him use his Ni more. When vera came back, he said he had a shaman who helped him see the truth. I think Vera in the earlier seasons used Fe-Se (Which made him look like using Se-Fi). He was always about mind manipulations, and getting to the Enemy's emotions and head. But after he came back from his "walk the earth" trip he finally connected with his Ni to set him a direction, a "vision". Vera was the only one who actually helped Elliot seeing the truth. I thought that in S4, Vera would turn out to be ESFP, because he looked a bit more impulsive. But then he pulled off the forced therapy session. He used Christa's relationship with Elliot and her knowledge about him to dig deeper into Elliot's true story. He was the one who could see that there is something in all those "details" he saw in her notes about Elliot. He saw the bigger picture in the sea of details (Unlike Christa, who only gathered information and was scared to get progress and touch the truth). He was always listening to what people has to say, and tried to get most of the meaning out of it. When he saw Elliot's and Christa's photo, even though he was wrong about what their relations ship was about, just from the look they had he knew they had a deep connection. Others didn't seem to notice that, and this is even why he killed one of his guys (Which I find weird and kind of useless, but probebly done to make a point or something). I think they killed him way too soon. He had some potential and I think the writers couldn't handle such a character anymore. Even though he was not a good person, he wanted to use Elliot's for his own goals, he saw what he was and how special his abilities are. I still give him most of the credit for the things he revealed about the true nature of his father, because christa, as nice as she was, was just scared and helpless. ENFJ Antagonists are my favorite, because they are deep and usually contribute much to the plot.
