For people who went with the "the author said she's ISFP" argument Don't trust the authors about typology, because you don't have any proofs about them having actual knowledge about typology. If you really believe she is ISFP, where is her Fi dom, her Se aux, and her Ni tert ? Almost everything about her character is based on her usage of Fe-Si (and also Ne tert, but mostly Fe-Si) Most of Jugyeong decisions are based on other people. What they might think about her, what they might do,... She tries to confort other people, to fit their standards... Her own main struggle is based on what other people think/might think about her. Jugyeong isn't someone who is driven by her values, instead of a Fi user, but more by social expectation, by what others want to see, the judgement of society on her apparence. Discovering herself clearly isn't her priority. She is more interested by being "normal", what others espect from her, or want her to be. She isn't afraid to not be understood or anything, she is just afraid of deceiving others because she lied to them about her appearence, and to be hated because of what she really looks like, and tries her best to hide it. She had interest in make-up and beauty industry mainly because of social expectation, and because she wanted to look pretty because she has been bullied because other people found her ugly, unattractive. And she is constantly afraid of revealing her true face to anyone, because of how bad she was treated because of it in the past. Don't type her as a Si inf only because she "hates the past" (like the ENFP voters probably did, but I'm sure it was more vibetyping because it happens a lot on this site), she hates the past because it's just bad memories, and it has a great importance for her. She is always stuck with it the whole story and even when she tries to move on, it keeps torturing her. It's her motivation. Being pretty because of social expectations, and because of the bullying she went through in the past proving her she doesn't have any chance to be respected, accepted and actually liked by staying natural (not my words, probably her own thoughts). There's no empathy in this society she always lived in for unatractive people, it's what she learnt from her own life experience. We could also talk about the fact she broke up with Seojun mainly because of people opinions about the rumors of their relationship, and the hate she got. It doesn't always has something to do with someone's type, but maybe a high Fi user wouldn't just give up on something really important for them, like a relationship, because of people's opinions about it. She wasn't happy about it neither, but she couldn't stand all the hate she got only because the obsessed fangirls couldn't stand that their idol would have a life like every human being. But since it's rare that someone likes getting hated on internet or everywhere else, this point is still questionable.
