I'm quite sure that Roland is a 2. Most of his actions or intentions are all about making him the loveable one. Unlike his wife (Jocelyn, a 9, whose main concern revolves around having a peaceful relationship with everyone), Roland as a Heart type (2) is demanding for recognition. He didn't do any "good" things or was sacrificial like a typical 2, however, he did a lot of reasonings and forced it onto others (with an attitude like "This is good for you because I said so") to gain love.
