Him and Alex are like me and my bsf, very similar on the surface, but Mike is a tad more of a goofball who's like "OKAY LERS REWRITE THE SCRIPT IN ONE NIGHT BECAUSE I HAVE A BETTER IDEA" and likes writing emotional scenes and self-jokes, Alex is clearly more rational and logical with arranging this stuff

Michael "Mike" Rianda (born December 25, 1984) is an American writer, director, and voice actor. He is known for directing, co-writing, and co-starring in his feature directorial debut The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021), for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. He also worked on Gravity Falls as a creative director and writer for season 1, and creative consultant for season 2.
