At first, I thought she was really an ENTP after reading the novel and the webtoon. But after reading the arguments of people saying here that she's an ENFP, I changed my mind. Then I reread the novel and the webtoon again (for the 3rd time now, I think), and I have to return to my first judgement, which is that HSY is an ENTP. I won't say any argument about Ne since that one's pretty obvious. As for why I think HSY clearly uses Ti > Fi: these two are pretty similar, so they're not easy to distinguish. Ti focuses on logic and rationality, Fi focuses on morals and ethics. HSY and Dokja are both two people who have read the farthest in Ways of Survival. Time and time again, HSY prioritizes logic > morals. She knows there are certain characters that would cause disaster to the story later on, so she has no hesitation in eliminating them. Example 1, Pink Girls. She even says that for Dokja, he would probably spare them considering that some things might have changed and they might be good people now. As for HSY? She eliminates them, since she doesn't want to be bothered by them in the later part. That's Ti, deciding what's the most logical thing to do and executing it. One could argue it might be Fi-Te, but where's the Fi? I could accept Te, but where is the Fi's constant question of: "How do I feel about this? Is this morally right and aligned with my values?" Has HSY ever thought about what she felt? That's Fi. For me, instead of focusing on internal feelings (Fi), she's more focused on external feelings (Fe) of the other people around her. She's quick to catch up on how the group feels and use it to manipulate them. Consider HSY vs Dokja (an INTJ who's Fi function is in the third slot). You can certainly see they're very different in how they approach things and people, no? Also, I do know that Fi in the second slot doesn't mean they're not logical, and having Ti in the second slot doesn't mean they don't have values and principles. But they do have a preference. Fi zooms in, while Ti zooms out. Fi will side with that friend because they have the ability to remain steadfast to what they believe in even when everyone is against them. Those with Ti have the ability to remain detached and make objective decisions even when it hurts those that are close to them. IN SIMPLE TERMS (damn, I typed too long): Ti + Fe: This is logically correct then consider the feelings of people (vs Fe + Ti, who will consider feelings of people first before what is logical) Fi + Te: This is aligned with my feelings, and since it is practical, I will do it (vs Te + Fi, who will act first and check if it is aligned with their values) HSY always checks Ti first. How many times have she argued with Kim Dokja because she believes in doing what is the most logical thing to do? Just like killing the Beast Lord. If HSY prioritizes Fi first, she would have first thought about her internal values and what she feels about it before acting. If it doesn't align with her values, no matter how many people would say it's the correct and logical thing to do, HSY would dig in her heels and not do it. Fi prioritizes inner feelings first, and has low tolerance for anyone that trespasses their values and principles in life. HSY? This woman goes if it's logical, then use Fe to manipulate people. Because of Fe, she knows how to read people and priotizes her Ti to do what is most logical. I know ENFPs can be morally grey too, but they were morally grey because their subjective values and feelings led them to it (you stepped on my principles in life and my emotions, rawr! Now I shall do everything to screw you over since you are a bad person!) While ENTPs would go (this isn't logically right, rawr! I will manipulate everyone since this is the correct thing to do!) HSY is aware that her actions are wrong, but based on a cold and logical standpoint, this is the CORRECT thing to do. As for people saying it's Fi how she does everything for Kim Dokja, it's because her Ti agrees with Kim Dokja, not because of her Fi. When they were having a clash of logic (HSY doing what is the most logical thing to do according to WoS and Dokja prioritizing Fi), HSY detaches herself from Kim Dokja (Beast Lord arc again). Objectively, Kim Dokja has read the most in WoS. Logically, Kim Dokja knows better than her. That's why HSY trusts his judgement and does whatever needs to be done. Ne+Ti+Fe is there, people. Those arguing for ENFP can only argue for Ne+Te, but the second slot in their function, what should be the 2nd dominant Fi, can barely be seen in HSY. Since everyone agrees that ENFPs can be logical and be morally grey characters too, we can also agree that ENTPs can do what is needed to be done, yeah? A go-getter ENTP (e8) is a much more logical analysis for HSY's character than an ENFP with Ne+Te with barely visible Fi. Even if she's in a loop, it shouldn't just be non-existent.
