I think people are letting his portrayal of Michael conflict with his actual personality. But also this is his first acting role so maybe my typing will change as his career progresses. But these are my thoughts as of now. I’m using his GQ interview as a reference because I think he gets the most personal, with his process to acting and his background: https://youtu.be/k1IRsn-92vc?si=Vo53w9EzNWjq8vlA Quote: “I created a timeline of information to stay grounded in so I wouldn’t get lost” Ni- Every time he spoke about the role it wasn’t abstract through a series of connections and scattered thoughts. He actually tends to be more present in the interview, but expands on thoughts and questions with more spiritual metaphors. He’s also incredibly detail oriented, and tends to be a perfectionist as a result (this is shown in this interview + his met gala vogue interview) Fe- He rarely speaks about his relationship to Michael as his Uncle or the personal connection he has to him as his uncle, but instead focuses on his Uncle from a psychological perspective. Crediting his characterization as a focus of how he read his emotions as well as his relationship to his family. Ti- In tandem with his Fe, he definitely thinks more technically rather than objectively like a Te user would. He describes the inner working of things, rather than how they should be categorized. Se- He states that his biggest struggle was that he never felt much comfort in the physical aspect of the role. He felt constrained by the timeline and not being able to apply meaning behind the moves. Which feels very inferior Se to me. However, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have Se at all. For the role he said that it was important to be in the same space Michael practiced in because it felt “spiritual” which feels on the Ni-Se axis. INFJs and INFPs look similar on the surface but I struggle to see any Fi. Fi users tend to be more individualistic, they craft out their own space and value system to operate within. Jaafar doesn’t do this. He surrounds himself in a space with shared value and applies meaning to the feelings and movements of those around him (Ni-Fe-Se). His individualism comes to play in how he logically interprets information (Ti)
