Earlier in the show when Troy was talking about promiscuity, he says that the husbands will just run back to their wives after they orgasm, which was exactly what Austin did at the end. He knew for sure that Ash didn't truly love him, but the life with Ashley was safe and secure. Eunice may not have loved him back, and even if she did the life with her was uncertain.
