Biografie

𓐍𓈖𓇓𓅱 | Khonsu/Chonsu/Khensu/Khons/Chons/Khonshu translated "traveler" Khonsu is the Egyptian god of the moon and night, as well as time and fate (all roles he shares with Thoth). He is also considered a healer and is instrumental in creating life itself. In some versions of the myth, he's the one responsible for giving Nut an extra five days of the year by gambling hours of moonlight and repeatedly losing to her. Another myth holds that he is the great snake who fertilizes the Cosmic Egg and thereby creates the world. Various myths also hold that Khonsu is involved in some fashion in the creation of all living creatures and that when he makes the crescent moon shine, women conceive, cattle become fertile, and all mouths, nostrils, and lungs are filled with fresh air.
