Throughout Eobard Thawne’s story, there are consistent traces pointing to the Sx4 subtype: Initially, his hatred towards Barry Allen began when the possibility of experiencing the aesthetic-uniqueness sensation was disrupted by him. Thawne never refrained from taking concrete steps and engaging in face-to-face battles to compensate for his discomfort caused by this situation. Right from the beginning, he worked to build a life that would be a reflection of his desire to realize the person. While I don’t want to seem like I’m idealizing this situation, it’s important to acknowledge that acting upon the destructive instincts that blur the line with jealousy signifies an unhealthy personality. However, understanding the psychological underpinnings of these instincts is indeed the path to decoding a character. One way to perceive him is to liken him somewhat to Scar from The Lion King
