It's stated by the creators and writers and that she is desparate to be seen as cool by rick, and will act based on what she believes would be deemed lovable (showcased by lastest episode). Total Fe user, I don't see Fi at all. To quote the behind the episode segment: "So [summer's] just doing all of these things because she really wants him to think she's cool and worth spending time with... she becomes incredibly ruthless, It's not really completely her, it's what she thinks rick wants." I hope we get more development for summer cuz I think her dynamic with rick is interesting. While morty is becoming more and more adverse to rick, summer still wants to be grandpa's girl.
