Ivan MBTI -Persönlichkeitstyp

Persönlichkeit

"Welcher Persönlichkeitstyp ist {profilename}? {profilename} ist ein {MBTI} -Persönlichkeitstyp in MBTI, {enneagram} - {iv} - {tritype} in EnneArgram, {big5} in Big 5, {socionics} in Socionics."

I've only been in the fandom around a month, and there's still a lot needed from his backstory and point of view in order to feel like we're properly typing him, but here's my two cents. (This is coming from someone who's tested 100% INTJ most of my life, but recently started leaning more towards ISTJ as I healed.) I have a lot of INFJ friends, so I've looked into the type a lot over the years, and I believe INFJ is a pretty solid type on paper, but gets fuzzy once you consider the TYPE of emotional Ivan is. I'm writing this after Round 6, so I do have that to go off as well, but Ivan comes across as a tremendously conflicted character from the start. He's shown to be extremely infatuated by the fire he himself doesn't exhibit. He comes off as very withdrawn and analytical, but isn't averse to emotional outbursts, which oftentimes come at the cost of other people. That being said, he clearly cares a lot about those he loves (not only considering his sacrifice, but considering his criticism of Sua's sacrifical actions, which comes off as very blunt and cruel in the moment but is a massive foreshadowing incident). He seems to be at war with himself to the very end. The reason I ultimately settled on INTJ (my own opinion only, of course) is because I think INTJ is a lot more complex than people give it credit for. INTJs are generally considered strictly apathetic and emotionless in media, but you'll see glimpses of breaks in that calculated nature in a lot of people who are very INTJ. I believe a key difference between INFJ and INTJ (which is why INFJ is considered rare) is that they are extremely sensitive to emotions, and not just others'. They are more in tune with the exhibition of their feelings, whereas INTJs tend to "break" that stoic, apathetic mask and "snap", leading to rare but explosive displays of anger and grief. (ROUND 6 SPOILERS BELOW) This might be a contradiction to others' beliefs, but I genuinely see Ivan as VERY calculated - he's a planner, and we see that best exemplified in the comments he was cited in before Round 6. He was prepared to do something drastic. However, he only "snaps" when Till stops singing, throwing his microphone in the process. He's more expressive in this next sequence than we've really seen him, other than the other two times he's shown to "snap" (both when Till rejects him). I think this contradiction, in tandem with him being so cautious and compliant but falling in love with someone so impulsive and fiery, is the core of what we've seen so far. He's a complex one, but I think his calculated and withdrawn demeanor, mixed with the bursts of "follow your gut" he exhibits, is a big one. He's the mastermind who figured out how to dismantle the collars, and was able to get him and Till out far enough to see the meteor shower and potentially escape. I think he absolutely does not understand Till, and that's what makes him so enticing (thinking about the meteor shower scene again, when he laughs and his eyes spark). Till's a challenge, and INTJs like challenge. They seek to understand the world and make sense of it. (This very well might change as we potentially learn more about his character! But, as of right now, this is where my brain is going. I hope this all makes some sense!)
