Biografie
Any person, sometimes the hero, who carries no weapon when everybody around him is carrying one is either cocky enough to BELIEVE that he doesn't need a weapon, or highly-skilled enough to KNOW that he doesn't need a weapon. The two are generally completely opposite in characterization, with the cocky version generally being a braggart and a bit of an ass, and the other being contemplative and spiritual to the point of being a martial pacifist, this might even include superheroes with a no-kill policy. Bonus points if they have super strength. Be warned, however, that the latter level of expertise may also contain the arrogant kung-fu guy, who really is as good as he brags about.
