Fe dom because she is friendly and nice towards MC? Nuh uh New chapters kind of showed her in a new light and revealed more about her past. Spoilers ahead! In my opinion she's a great example of SO8. "Since when did i, a beast of the wild, became known as a monster?" Miko Yashiro is a fox spirit who used to kill people for mostly pleasure of seeing them suffer and being in control of situation. Yet later she was captured by a monk who sealed some of her powers and made her help him to protect the villagers from baketanukis. Miko was obviously unhappy and annoyed by whole situation but I want to note precisely these words of hers: "To see those humans so scared of what couldn't even count as monsters and that this monk protected them without any reward, i felt nothing but frustration" The ideas of seeing people as weak/strong or being focused on getting what they want are common for any E8. So it's not surprising why she disrespected and looked down on humans who naturally weaker than her or why she was confused by monk's actions that didn't get him any profit at all. The big moment of her character is conversation with the monk where she directly asked him: "Why are you protecting the humans here? You have nothing to do with them, do you? So why work for them?" He answered: "Such thing as bond does not exist with us at the beginning. When you encounter, when you connect, you make bonds with others,...You as well, have already formed bonds with all the people here. You must treasure your bonds." After the death of the monk Miko was finally free and could leave. However baketanukis decided to atack the village so Miko was stopped by the desperate cry of a little girl with whom Yashiro had created a bond before. That's when monk's words were repeated in her head: "You must treasure your bonds." Miko made a decison to remain the protector of the village. When lust meets the social instinct, it manifests as passionate and possessive nature of bonds with others, attempting to keep those they consider weaker happy. "...If i have made this bond already. Let me protect it as long as my bonds remain with these precious people here"
