Okay so... Hear me out on this one. At the first glance he appears to be a spontaneous fun creature with lots of Ne. But when you get deeper into it you can clearly see lots of evidence that the Ylvis bros might as well be a Ni-dom duo, with Bård being INTJ and Vegard INFJ. It's easy to categorise them as Ne because they're funny and witty, but wouldn't that be a giant stereotype? Besides, their humour is NOT random. Each one of their song has a story behind it, yes they're random stories but they're a product of the conversations between the bros. When they talked about how they wrote "Pressure", literally every line they wrote makes perfect sense, even if "negotiating peace in the Middle East" sounds mega odd, they explained it by saying "you always gotta apply the right amount of pressure- not to be too harsh or too mild." So they basically made a catchy joke song where all the lines have meaning and 90% of population doesn't really give them much thought. They do, though, they overthink EVERYTHING, and Bård once even said he thinks it's really entertaining to overplan something simple. One more thing, albeit less professional, I'd like to say that I heavily relate to their dynamics, I have a Ni-dom sibling and our communication is exactly as the Ylvisåkers describe it, lots of telepathy going on, with lots of silence and working and planning and analysing things. I also have a Ne-dom sibling and while we ARE productive together, it's a completely different mechanism. It's obvious that Bård's a Fi user unlike Vegard, who's a diplomat who doesn't really display his emotions, instead putting in focus the social harmony. Maybe that's why Bård bullies Vegard so much and he lets him :D He also seems to be a bit bossy sometimes, and combined with his enneagram (which I'm not really sure about- for all I know he could be 3 or 8 too, not sure...) and the fact that he sometimes uses his Se in a bit of an unhealthy way, INTJ actually makes more sense than ENFP. Ni is evident once you look past his stage presence. He just gets bored easily and if things aren't going perfectly or how he wishes they were going (low fi lol) he throws a tantrum, yells at Vegard, gets angry instantly. He gets... REALLY frustrated whenever Vegard interrupts him and he shows it instantly, TeFi king. I hope we find more INTJs like this, because you don't have to be a feeler or an extrovert to be seen as funny. Ni-doms are extremely hard to type, obviously, and I personally don't know the bros so they could be anything, but based on the interviews and the actual thought process they go through to make music/comedy, I can confidently say I see lots of Ni in both of them, with Bård being the one with TeFi, INTJ.
