It seems way to gentle for a type 8 to me. Its characteristic gentle singing and soothing effects make me lean more toward core 9 personally. Its ability to burn people to a crisp might sound 8-like, but the dex seems to describe it as more of something its capable of than something it actually likes to do. Nevertheless, I could also just see it as a prominent 8 wing as well.

It burns its enemies to a crisp with flames of over 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit.
