He's most likely an ENTP making use of his INTJ shadow traits when it comes to highly stressful situations. However, naturally when he's not surrounded by something that would potentially harm him or the people he cares about, he'd naturally fall into his ENTP self. You see this a lot when he's with Maomao and Fengxian. Comparing him with Shisui (ENTP, using INTJ mask for Rouren) is the closest I can describe him. Shisui's naturally leaning more with her Ne-Ti as someone younger; while Lakan learned to use his Fe-Si now as he grows older. His use of intuition in decision making (could be seen as Ni), is an interesting play of Ne-Ti-Si at work. This can work for him as he can recall past information and data better (due to his age and daily experience in the court) from before and connect it with his Ne-Ti, now that he's much older and had matured his functions. His highly developed Fe now lets him play around subtly with people by seeing how they'd react in a certain situation (his usual tests that Jinshi hates and Maomao love-hates). With the support of the results done by his Fe, intuition really comes so easily for him now that he has an idea of how these people think and react. I see myself a lot in him (as an ENTP myself) whenever it comes to doing a particular job or task. It's just a matter of whether he uses his INTJ shadow healthily or not.

Rakan (羅漢, Luohan) is a tactician in the Rii military, the head of the Ra Clan, and Maomao's biological father. He is a secondary character in Kusuriya no Hitorigoto.
